Everette E. Overman

Everette E. Overman, 73, of West Lafayette died Thursday, Februaiy 24, 2005 at Heritage Healthcare in West Lafayette. He had been a resident there for the past year and a half.

He was born March 21, 1931 in Chalmers to Charles and Olepha "Gladys" Hague Overman. He attended Brookston High School.

He was retired from Lafayette Home Hospital. He also worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital in the dietary department.

He was also in customer service for many years, working for the likes of Purdue University in the Union building and the Wal-Mart East jewelry department for the past several years. He also had his own catering business at one time.

He was a member of the Brookston Federated Church.

He was a real "people person" who enjoyed catering and floral arrangements.

Surviving are three nieces, Barbara (Bob) Kirts of Brookston, Loretta (Jack) Stine of Chalmers and Gladys (Roger) VanVoorst of Oakdale.

Preceding him in death is [sic] a sister, Dorothy Putt, a brother, Bill Overman and a life partner, Dennis Lukas.

Funeral services were Saturday at the Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston with burial in Brookston I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
