L. Myrle Oilar Overley
L. Myrle Oilar Overley, 85, formerly of Brookston, died in St. elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. She had been a resident of Heritage Healthcare, Lafayette, since 1984.
She was [born] Oct. 10, 1906, to Asa Eugene and Daisy may Ward Oilar, in Tippecanoe Co. She was married Feb. 20, 1932, to Ralph W. Overley, who died Dec. 24, 1976.
She moved from Battle Ground to Brookston in 1984.
She had been an employee of Brown Rubber Co. at Lafayette, Purdue and Indiana Veterans Home, both at West Lafayette.
Surviving are three sisters, Bessie Hague, Brookston; Lela Sewell, Kokomo; and Pauline Jewett, New Milford, Conn.; and two brothers, Warren "Jack" Oilar, Brookston, and Eugene "Jiggs" Oilar, Chalmers. One brother and four sisters are deceased.
The funeral was Monday, in Hartzler Funeral Home, brookston, with the Rev Ralph Smith officiating.
Burial was in Isley Cemetery, Tippecanoe County.
