Garry Lee Oilar

Garry Lee Oilar, 63, of Brookston, died Saturday, December 7, 2002, at his residence.

He was born September 18, 1939, in Lafayette, to Benjamin W. and Dorothy Klepinger Oilar. He married Anneliese Jeager on May 16, 1968 in San Antonio, Texas. She survives.

He was a 1957 graduate of Brookston, High School.

He retired from the U. S. Air Force in 1978. He was a 20-year veteran, who served from 1958-78 and retired with the rank of sergeant major.

He was a member of Brookston Federated Church, where he was a trustee.

He was a member of American Legion Post #492, West Lafayette.

Surviving with his wife are brothers, Larry (Sue) Oilar and Michael (Sherry) Oilar, both of Brookston.

An infant sister and a stepson, Manfred Mueller (1996), are deceased.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Hartzler Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Lelan McReynolds officiating.

Burial will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brookston, where a detachment from Scott Air Force Base in St. Louis will conduct military rites.
