Geneva Ohman, 71, Wolcott, died Saturday, March 20, in the Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis, where she had been a patient since February 24th.
She
was born Nov. 7,1921, to Edward and Gayna Klatt Young, in Goodland. She
was married to
John
Ohman, in 1950, and he died in 1963.
She was retired from the Better Coil plant in Goodland, and also had worked in various restaurants in the Wolcott community and for White Co. Crisis Center.
For several years she lived in Monon, and was a graduate of Monon High School. In 1947, she moved to Wolcott.
She
was a member of the Wolcott United Methodist Church, Alpha Circle of the
church and the
Revelation
Club of the church.
She was a member of the Senior Citizens Club in Wolcott, the Bicycle Club in Wolcott and the Long Center in Lafayette.
Surviving are a son, John Ohman, Pontiac, Ill., a daughter, Mrs Lisa Chaenoweth, Burleson, - Texas; a sister, Mrs Mildred McGee, Lafayette; a brother, Harold Young, Monticello; 10 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
The funeral was Wednesday, at Foster Funeral Home, Wolcott, with Rev. Gene Ansell officiating.
Burial was in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Reynolds.
