Irvin N. Nicholson, 69, died Saturday, June 4, of a heart attack at his home in French Lick, Ind.
He was born Jan. 12, 1919, in Cuzee, Indiana, to Clyde and Alice Conrad Nicholson and later he served in the Navy during World War II and was wounded in Sicily. After his retirement from the Navy, Mr Micholson raised Tennessee walking horses. He was a member of the French Lick American Legion and the Saddle Club of French Lick.
Surviving are a daughter, Vicky Mills, Goshen; a stepson, Terry Howell, Shoals; one brother, Truman Nicholson, Chalrners; four sisters: Wilda Mills, Wolcott; Helen Asbell, West Baden; Marilyn Holt, Shoals and Etta Lou Bair, Dubois; and three grandchildren. His wife, Isol preceded him in death in April, 1979.
Services were conducted Thursday, June 9, in French Lick. Burial was in the Cuzco Community Cemetery.
