Ruby E. Ryder Nice, 89, Brookston, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, in St. Anthony Health Care, Lafayette, where she had been a resident since May 19, 1989.

She was born Aug. 20, 1902, to Korah and Clara Harshman Ryder, in Tippecanoe County. She was married Dec. 7,1920, to Leon Nice, who died Oct. 8,1981.

She moved to Brookston from Lafayette, in 1984.

She was a member of the former Cairo Methodist Church.

Suvivors include a daughter, Mrs Marjorie Qualls, Brookston; a son, Keith E., Largo, Fla.; a sister, Mrs Golda Shephers, St. Anthony Health Care; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren.

A son, three grandsons and a great grandson are deceased.

The funeral was today at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with Rev. Gene Ansell officiating.
