GORDON V. NICE

Gordon V. Nice, 65, died unexpectedly Sunday morning in his home at 500 Mills St., Brookston. Mr Nice was employed at Ross Gear Division of TRW in Lafayette for 37 years retiring in 1979. He also operated a lawncare service here and was a volunteer driver for the Brookston community van.

Born Sept. 5, 1922,  in Tippecanoe  Co., he moved to Brookston in 1971 from West Lafayette. He was a 1941 graduate of Battle Ground High School. His marriage to Beryl J. Renick was Oct. 29, 1945, in Lafayette.

Mr Nice was a member of Brookston Federated Church.

Surviving with the widow are his mother; Mrs Ruby Nice, Brookston; a brother, Keith E Nice, Largo, Florida; and a sister, Mrs Ira (Marjorie) Qualls, Brookston.

Two grandchildren and one step-granddaughter, also survive. Two sons are deceased.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Brookston Federated Church with Rev Jim Walter officiating. Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston was in charge of the services.

Burial was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
