Cheryl "Sherry" Darlene Newbold, 56, of Monon, died Sunday, November 6, 2005 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis following a two week illness.

She was born November 24, 1948, in Lafayette to Thomas and Beatrice Parker Seyfried.

She married Glenn Edward Newbold, Sr., in Monticello on August 1, 1978. He survives.

She attended Monticello High School.

She worked at R.C.A. in Monticello from 1967—1982, and at Monon Corp. in 1983-1984.

She had moved to Monon from Monticello in 1978.

She attended the St. James Lutheran Church in Lafayette.

She was a member of Women of the Moose, Monticello. and a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of AMVETS Post #91[.]

Survivors include four sons; Tom "Sapun" Peters, Fort Knox, KY, Dan Peters, Lafayette, Glenn (Tammy) Newbold, Jr., Monon, Patrick Newbold, Monon and one daughter Debra (Jim) Dowden, Warrington, MO; and one brother, Michael (Mary) Seyfried of Lafayette. She had 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

One brother is deceased.

Funeral services are at 11:00 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Kellogg Funeral Home with Pastor David French officiating. Burial will be in Bedford Cemetery.
