Mrs Nelson had been a beautician at J.C. Penney Co. in Lafayette for 19 years.
She was a member of Brookston United Methodist Church and Ladies Auxiliary of: VFW.
She was born Dec. 22, 1924, in Louisville, Ky., and graduated from Brookston High School in 1943. Her first marriage was to Gayle Hiner, Oct. 29, 1973. He died March 23, 1976. She was married in 1977 to Robert Nelson who survives.
Also surviving are three brothers, Laymon Gray, Brookston; Lenard Gray, South Bend and Lester Gray, R.5, Monticello, and two sisters, Mrs Leo (Pauline) McKay, Lafayette and Mrs Clyde (Lorraine) Martin, Americus. She was preceeded in death by 2 brothers and one sister.
Service was Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with Brother Floyd Deel officiating.
Interment was in IOOF Cemetery, Brookston. -
