Katharine Klepinger Neel, of 1124 Booling Ave., Norfolk, VA., a former Brookston resident, died Tuesday afternoon in Norfolk.

She was a retired school teacher and had taught in the Brookston and Norfolk school systems.

She was born in Brookston and graduated from Brookston High School in 1925. She was also a graduate of Indiana University.

She was a member of Monticello Order of Eastern Star, Crystal Chapter 165; and a former member of Brookston Federated Church. She was a prominent worker in Norfolk Republican Club.

Her marriage was to Harold M. Neel, who survives.

Also surviving are a brother, John F Klepinger, Delphi; and one sister, Mrs Mary Lois Stratton, Clayton, Ind.

Graveside service was Monday at 11 a.m. in Masonic Cemetery, Delphi, with the Rev Ellis K Gasser officiating. The Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston was in charge.
