Mamie S. Myers; 88, of Winamac died Monday, June 28, 2004 at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac. She had resided in Winamac for several months.
She was a lifelong resident of Francesville.
She was born on March 2, 1916, in Francesville to John R. and Susie Ann Marie Kopka Culp. She married Melvin L. Myers on June 29, 1940 in Winamac. He preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Francesville.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Monticello, a former member of the Board of Directors of the Pulaski County Farm Bureau. She also was a vohmteer with the Pulaski Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
She loved to sing, write letters, send cards, and talk on her phone. She also loved going to church and Bible study class.
Survivors include sons Ronald Leroy (Sally) Myers of Las Vegas, Nevada, Donald W. (Mary) Myers of Francesville, Melvin David (Della) Myers of Francesville; daughters, Martha Losh of Medaryville, Carol (George) Martindale of Star City, Janet (Dennis) Haschel of Winamac, Sherly Hunt of Monticello; Evelyn (George) Dunker of Francesville, a sister Francis [sic] Culp of Francesville; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Anna Marie Wood; a sister, Leva Hull; and one granddaughter.
Funeral services were Friday, July 2, 2004 at Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home in Francesville, with Pastor James Gabhart officiating.
Burial was in Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.
