Robert "Bob" Virgil Meyer, 60, of Lafayette died Sunday, November 13, 2005 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette.

he was born July 28, 1945, in Lafayette, to Virgil Robert and Rosemary L. Farmer Meyer.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1963-1966, and was a graduate of the Great Lakes Naval Academy.

Survivors include his mother Rosemary Meyer, Monticello; a daughter, Jennifer (Doug) Beck, Columbus, Ohio; a son Jason Paul Meyer, Monticello; sisters Karen Sue Cowger, Monticello, Linda (John) Carter, Monticello and Denise (Mike) J. Brown-Vincz, Monticello; brothers Jeffery D. (Karen) Meyer, Columbia, Mo., and Chuck Meyer, Appleton, Wisc.; two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Graveside services were this morning at the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery, with full military rites.
