Glenn N. McLendon, 58, Rt. 1 Chalmers, died unexpectedly on Monday, Feb. 20, at White County Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Cincinnati on May 24, 1936 to William and Elaine Fredericks Wimmel McLendon. On Jan. 15, 1957, he married Roslyn Jean Abrams in Waukegan, IL, and she survives.
He graduated from Mount Healthy High School in Mount Healthy, OH, in 1951.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving four years. He also served four years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a laborer on the trailer side table at Monon Corp. working there since 1981, He had lived in Chalmers for six years. He had lived in Francesville for 20 years before moving to Chalmers.
He attended Francesviile Baptist Church.
Surviving with his wife are two sons, Glen David of Noblesville and Jeffrey W. of Valparaiso; two daughters, Jennifer F. Craig and Michelle E. McLendon, both of Chalmers; one brother, Nelson of Wonder Lake, IL; two sisters, Sandra Haley of Cincinnati, and Karen Helfinstine of Woodstock, IL; and 7 grandchildren.
Funeral
services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Kellogg Funeral Home,
Monon, the
Rev. Loren
Shuman officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-9 p.m.
Cremation will follow.
