William B. McDonald

          William Braze McDonald, 71, died Thursday, March 2, 2000 at the Dixie Regional Medical Center in St George, Utah.

          He was born December 7. 1928 in Monon to Byron George McDonald and Sarah Aurilla Ball. He married Emojean Wilson June 15, 1952 at the Methodist Church in Monon.

          He graduated from Monon High School in 1947.  He later graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey.  During their marriage, Bill and Emie lived in Indiana, New Jersey, California and Florida They settled in St. George in 1993. Bill was an auditor for IBM Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 1984. He was a charter member of the Shepherd Hills United Methodist Church in St. George and chairman of the Church Finance Committee. He belonged to the Elks Club and was a former member of the Bloomington Country Club.

          He is survived by his wife Ernie of St. George; sons Jim (Marlene) of Visalia, CA; and Bill (Pam) of Perry, UT; six grandchildren; Kyle Amy, Jeff Courtney, Sarah and Paul; three sisters; Dorothy Wood and Pat McDonald of Monon; and Loretta Kollias of Marathon, FL.
          Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
          Funeral services were Monday, March 6, 2000 at 11:30 am, at the Spilsbury & Beard Mortuary ChapeL 110 5. Bluff St. in St. George. Interment will be at a later date in Monon.
