Sharon (Sterner)
Ritchie McDermitt, 58, Battle Ground, died Friday, May 15, at 3 p.m. in
her home.
She had been ill for three months.
She was born Jan. 16, 1940, to Charles and Geraldine Hughes Sterner, in Chalmers. She was married Dec. 7, 1991, to Philip McDermitt, at the Indiana. Veteran's Home chapel arid he survives.
She lived in the area all her life. She lived in Peru for 10 from 1958-68.
She was a 1958 graduate of Chalmers High School..
She had worked at Duncan Electric Landis and Gyr since 1978 and at present on sick leave.
She was a member of Chalmers Community Church and Local Industrial Union No. 812.
Surviving with
her husband are two sons, Wayne Ritchie, Lafayette and Scott Ritchie, West
Lafayette; two daughters, Ms
Robin Meacham,
Battle Ground and Mrs Jeffrey (Shannon) Werner, Chalmers; a step-daughter,
Loni McDerniitt, Lafayette; a step-son, Michael McDermitt, Lafayette; a
sister, Nancy Loveall, Lafayette and seven grandchildren.
Two sisters are deceased.
Funeral services were Tuesday, May 19 at 11 a.m. at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston.
Burial was in Chalmers community Cemetery.

be given to the American Cancer Society.
