Irene Bush McCoy, 80, Brookston, died Tuesday, April 1, at 3:40 a.m. in Home Hospital, Lafayette.
She was born May 11, 1916, to Aussie and Myrtle Conkle Bush, in Round Grove Township in White County. She was married Oct. 1 1939, to William McCoy in Lafayette, and he died May 6, 1990.
She graduated
from Chalmers High School in 1935 and attended Lafayette Business College.
She had lived in Brookston since 1947.
She was formerly employed in the contract office at the Administration Building at Purdue.
She was a member of the Brookston Federated Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Larry (Phyllis) McGill, Brookston and Mrs Troy (Judy) Payton, Delphi and one grandson and five great grandchildren. An infant sister is deceased.
Funeral services were Friday at 11 a.m. in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with the Rev. Lelan McReynolds and Ralph McVay officiating.
Burial was in the IOOF Cemtery, Brookston.
