Margaret E. "Margie" McCormick, 65, a LaCrosse resident since 1961, formerly of Knox, passes [sic] away Friday, January 4, 2002 at South Bend Memorial Hospital. She was born January 26, 1936 in Chicago the daughter of Edward and Irene (Poczworowski) Dembowski and graduated from Knox High School. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wanatah and had formerly been the Dewey Township Trustee.

On August 4, 1962 she married Joseph McCormick who survives along with their two sons, Dale (Jenny) McCormick of Wanatah, Jason (Erica) McCormick of La Crosse; one sister, Alice (Ralph) Condon of Knox, four grandchildren, Andrew, Allison, Trevor and Conner. Her parents, one brother and a son, David, preceded her in death.

A funeral mass was held Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wanatah. Fr. Jerry Schweitzer and Fr. Luke Poczworowski officiated. Burial was in St. Marten's Cemetery.
