Marie G. Long McClean, 83, of Brookston, was found dead in her home Wednesday, December, 17, apparently of a heart attack.

Mrs. McClean retired in 1968 from Purdue University where she worked as a counterwoman in the Union Building.

Born June 1, 1903 in DeWitt County, Il., she had lived in the Brookston area since 1927 and attended West Lafayette schools.

She was married March 8, 1950, in West Lafayette to Clarence "Slim" McClean. He died October 29, 1960.

Mrs McClean was a member of the Brookston Federated Cburch and Brookston American Legion Auxiliary.

Several nieces and nephews survive. Four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held on Friday, December 19 at Hartzler Funeral Home with the Rev. B. James Walter officiating. Interment was in IOOF Cemetery in Brookston.
