Darwin L. McBee, 75, of Deadwood, South Dakota died at 11:00 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 1998 at the Rehab Nursing Home in Rapid City. He had been a patient there since early October.
He was born November 27, 11923 in Monon, the son of Allen D. and LaJune (Lowe) McBee.
An Army veteran serving in World War II, he was a graduate of Purdue University. He taught school at the Engineers School of Mines in Rapid City. He later became a self employed accountant.
His first marriage was to Dona Core of Rapid City. His second marriage was to Betty Simmons and she survives.
He and his wife had been wintering in St. George, Utah.
He is survived by four daughters and two sons, 13 grandchildren and two brothers, Robert of Rapid City and George of Monon.
One sister, Phyllis, preceded him in death..
Funeral services are at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the O'Sheim Funeral Home in Rapid City.
Visitation is from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
