Rebecca Brianne May

Rebecca Brianne May, 28, of Syracuse, NY died Saturday, March 26, 2005 when she and her mother were truck [sic] by a train while taking a walk.

She was born June 30, 1977, In [sic] Lafayette. She attended LaPorte High School where she was active in the Blue Coats Drum and Bugle Corps. She later graduated from Indiana University in liberal arts.

She enjoyed the outdoors and her dogs.

Survivors include a brother, Justin Woods of St. Petersburg, FL; her grandmother, Zonabelle May of Brookston and an aunt, Sandra (Tom) Spear of Lafayette.

Funeral services were today at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Lelan D. McReynolds officiating.

Memorials may be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society.
