Chester D. May, 100, of 413 East 7th Street,  Brookston died at Heritage Healthcare Center in West Lafayette at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, October 5th.

He was born in Round Grove Township on August 17, 1898 the son of Edward and Alice Park May. He married Ruth Marie Vanderbilt on June 7, 1928. She died February 4, 1974.

Mr. May retired from Standard Oil in 1963 after 32 years working in the Brookston area.

He is survived by a son Myron May of Plainfield, IN, 2 grandchildren Mark and Linda May and 2 great grandchildren.

One brother Dr. Glen H. May of West Point, IN also survives.

He was preceded in death by a sister and 4 brothers.

Funeral services will be at the Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday with Rev. Mark Kurowski officiating.
