Bette Lou May, 58, formerly of Brookston died Saturday, March 26, 2005 when she and her daughter were struck by a train while walking her dogs at Brookston.
She was born October 17, 1946 in Lafayette to Glen and Zonabelle Smith May. She survives. [sic]
She graduated from Brookston High School and then from Purdue University in industrial engineering.
She was a production controller at Welch-Alan Pharmaceutical Company. Prior to that she worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb Company.
She enjoyed the outdoors, her dogs and reading.
Other survivors include a son, Justin Woods of St. Petersburg, FL and a sister Sandra (Tom) Spear of West Lafayette.
Funeral services were today at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Lelan D. McReyolds, officiating.
