Elmer G. Maxwell, 80, Chalmers, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, in Veterans Administration Hospital in Madison.

Mr. Maxwell was an electrician at Purdue for 30 years before his retirement.  He was married to M. Irene Rotert, who survives.

He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of the Moose Lodge, Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. He also was associated with the Lutheran Church.

Surviving with his wife are a stepson, Steven. Conarroe, Madi son; and one brother, Charles Maxwell, Kokomo.

Service was Saturday in Madison.
