Ronald G. Martin, Sr., 58, of Brookston, died Monday, January 27, 2003, at Home Hospital in Lafayette.
He was born in Lafayette on August 15, 1944, to Claude P. and June Halsema Martin. He married Patricia Short in Battle Ground on June 21, 1964. She survives.
He had lived in Brookston since September 2001, coming from Chalmers.
He was employed as a stock clerk with Alcoa in Lafayette, and had been on disability since March 2002.
He was a member of Chalmers Community Church.
He was a member of the Alcoa 25-Year Club and the United Steel Workers of America, Local 115.
Surviving with his wife are sons, Jerry G. Martin of Chalmers and Ronald G. (Gina) Martin of Brookston; brothers Claude "Pink" Martin of Monticello, Mick (Carol) Martin of Brookston and Herbie (Bendy) Martin of Chalmers; a sister, Sue (Larry) Oilar of Brookston; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston with Rev. Dr. Lelan McReynolds officiating.
Burial was at Chalmers Cemetery.
