S. Martin, 73, West Lafayette, died Saturday, Dec. 21, at 5:11 p.m. at
the home of her son Bobby in Lafayette.
She was born Jan. 22, 1923, to James Irvine and Myrtle Jeffery Gray, in Brookston. She was married Aug. 16, 1941, to Clyde Martin in Lafayette, and is surviving.
She attended Brookston schools.
She retired in 1972 from Brown Rubber in Lafayette.
She was a member of the Brookston United Methodist Church.
Surviving with her husband are two sons, Bobby L. and Bradley A. both of Lafayette; a daughter, Tammy J. Morehouse of Hilton Head, S.C.; three brothers, Layman Gray, Brookston; Lenard Gray, South Bend and Lester Gray, Lafayette; a sister, Pauline Fix, Lafayette and nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Three brothers, two sisters and a great grandchild are deceased.
The funeral was Tuesday at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Chapel, West Lafayette, with Rev. Mark T. Kurowski officiating.
