Eva L. Schlegelmilch Marion, 92, 1120 N. Main St., Monticello, died Friday, March 30, 2001 at 7:34 p.m. in Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare.

She was born August 20, 1908 to Frank and Esta Howe Pearce, in Hendricks County. She was married August 21, 1924, to Tom Schlegelmilch, in Lafayette and he died July 23, 1961. She married William Marion, April 4, 1964 and he died October 3, 1987.

She lived in Monticello since 1922.

She worked at Kroger for nine years, Bryan Manufacturing for nine years, Dr. Richard Cobb's office for 13 years and the Union Township Library for a year.

She was a member of Pike Creek Church of the Brethren, where she served as a deaconess.

Surviving are two stepsons, Richard C. Marion of Delphi and Robert W. Marion of Monon; a daughter-in-law, Mary Schlegelmilch of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; five great grandchildren and 11 step-great grandchildren.

A son, Dwight Schlegelmilch, a granddaughter, Lory Schlegelmilch, a brother and sister are deceased.

The funeral service was Tuesday in the Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Monticello at 10 a.m.

Burial will be in Riverview I.O.O,F. Cemetery.
