Billy Joe Maple
Billy Joe Maple, 55, of Allen Texas, a former Monon area resident, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 20, 2004, at Medical Center of Plano, Texas.
He was born in Atlanta, Ga., on February 2, 1949, to Ralph Alex Maple Sr. and Mary loma McDaniel Maple.
He was a 1968 graduate of North White High School in Monon.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, where he held the rank of E5.
He had resided in Allen, Texas for 30 years, moving from Monon.
He served as a radar technician with Raytheon Corp. of Allen, Texas, for several years.
Survivors include brothers, Ralph Maple, Jr. of Rantoul, Ill., and Ronald L. Maple of Buffalo; sisters Linda Watson of Mahomet, Ill., and Lou Ann Hulvert of Monticello; 13 nieces and nephews, 37 great-nieces and great-nephews; and five great-great-nieces and great-great nephews.
Funeral services were at Kellogg Funeral Home in Monon with Rev. Steve Birch officiating.
Burial with full military honors was at Hughes Cemetery south of Buffalo.
