Richard A. "Dick" Mansfield

Richard Allen "Dick" Mansfield, 66. of Monticello and formerly of Brookston, died Tuesday, October 21, 2003, in his home.

He was born in Tippecanoe County on October 23, 1936. He married Jayne C. Vinyard at Reynolds Christian Church on October 11, 1962. She survives.

He started as an employee and was then owner of Reifers Furniture in Lafayette.

He was a member of Brookston Federated Church, Moose Lodge and American Legion Post in Monticello.

He enjoyed boating, snowmobiling and was a charter member of the Indiana Humbugs, a snowmobile club.

Other survivors include son Scott (Marina) Mansfield of Brookston; daughter Tana Mansfield of Brookston; brothers George (Phyllis) Mansfield of Lafayette and Jimmie (Dottie) Mansfield of Brookston; sisters Lverree [sic] (Norman) Loftus of Wisconsin and Mary Louise Chambers of Lafayette and granddaughter Samantha "Sammy" Jayne Mansfield.

Two infant brothers and a sister are deceased.

Services were Saturday at Brookston Federated Church with Rev. Dr. Lelan D. McReynolds officiating. Burial was in Brookston I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home was m charge of arrangements.
