Julia Lennen Mansfield, 93, formerly of Brookston, died Monday afternoon in Tioga Pines Living Center, Monticello, where she had been a resident since December 6, 1989.

She was born October 8, 1900 in Tippccanoe County to Peter and Mary Ellen Cheeseman Lennen. She married George M. Mansfield on May 19, 1917 in Lafayette.  He died December 8, 1984.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include three sons, George "Homer" of Lafayette, Jimmie of Rt. 2, Brookston, and Richard of Monticello; three daughters, MargueriteLawson of Brookston, Mary LouiseChambers of Lafayete. and Mrs. Norman (Lverree) Loftus of Rhinelander, Wisc.; 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, two sisters and two infant sons are deceased.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. today in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with the Rev. Herb Wingard and the Rev. Lelan McReynolds officiating.

Burial was in IOOF Brookston Cemetery.
