Albert R. Mahlke

Albert R. Mahlke, 71, of Lafayette, died Wednesday, Nov. 22. in Home Hospital.

He was born March 29, 1929, in Lafayette and was a 1947 graduate of Monon High School. He lived in Brookston from 1953 until coming to Lafayette in 1962.

Mr Mahlke was a machinist at Fairfield Manufacturing Co. for 43-1/2 years, retiring Dec. 20, 1990. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he served from 1950 until 1952. He was a life member of the DAV.

He married Louise M. Burnau, Aug. 4, 1951, and she survives.

Also survivng are two daughters, Susan K. Rice (husband Neal) of Oak Creek, Wis., and Karen. S. Senn (husband Mark) of Lafayette; and five brothers, Edward Mahlke of Greenwood, Ralph Mahlke, Tucson, Ariz., Leonard Mahlke, Paw Paw, Ill. and Robert Mahlke and Ronald Mahlke, both of Lafayette.
