Elizabeth A. Bette Wilkinson Mahin, 71, Tampa, Florida (lived during the summer months in Chalmers), died Wednesday, July 23, 1997 following surgery for a broken hip from a fall in her Chalmers home. She died at Home Hospital, Lafayette.

She was born December 13, 1925 in Lafayette to Richard and Vesta Farabee Culp Wilkinson. She married Ralph Mahin on October 13, 1943 in Brookston. She was a homemaker.

She was a 1943 graduate of Brookston High School and attended Western Womens College in Oxford, Ohio for 2 years.

Survivors include her husband Ralph Mahin of Tampa; 1 daughter Mrs David (Lisa) Champlain of Cape Coral, Florida; a grandson and 2 step-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held in Remington Cemetery in Remington, Ind. on July 29th for family and friends. Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, was in charge of the service.
