Clarence E. Luse

Clarence E. "Pete" "Red" Luse, 80, of Monticello died Saturday, May 14, 2005, at his residence.

He was born April 19, 1925 in Monticello to Clarence and Hazel Moore Luse.

He married Thelma Klopfenstein Sept. 12, 1944 in Wolcott. She died Jan. 19, 1975.

He later married Karen Goble Watts on Feb. 3, 2002 in Monticello. She survives.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Other survivors include a son, Joe (Rhonda) Luse of Monticello; daughters Linda (Wayne) Wilmot and Debra (Ron) Posch, both of Monticello; a stepdaughter, Jeannette (Sean) Williams of Sandwich, Ill.; a stepson, David Watts, Jr. of Monon; brothers Vernon "Pinky" (Sis) Luse of Monticello and Bob (Mary) Collins of Marshtown; sisters, Phyllis (Jerry) Maze of Lafayette and Virginia "Ginny" (Roger) Brock of Kokomo; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Pamela Kennedy and a son, Steven Luse are deceased.

Funeral services were today at 10:30 a.m. at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home with Pastor Opal Reiff and Pastor Don Haase officiating.

Burial, with full military honors is in I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery near Monticello.
