Twyla B. Bell Lupton

Twyla B. Bell Lupton, 73, Lafayette, died Sunday. Feb. 27, at her residence. She had been ill since 1971.

She was born June 15, 1920 to W. Lynn and Christel Crawford Bell. Her mother resides in Woodland Manor Nursing Home in Attica. She married H. Maurice Lupton an June 16, 1940 in Newtown. He survives.

She was a 1938 graduate of Newtown High School. She graduated from Ball State University where she studied library science.

She moved to Anderson from Lafayette in 1946 and returned to Lafayette in March 1986.

She was a former member of the Anderson First Presbyterian Church and member of the Brookston Federated Church and Nikaphilia Club at Anderson.

Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Diane Lupton of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Mrs. Steve (Jana) Taylor of Brookston; two sons, Mark A. of Anderson and Kirby W. of Kettering, Ohio; one brother, Walter Bell of Newtown; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, and at 2 p.m. at the Anderson Memorial Park Chapel, the Rev. Lelan McReynolds officiated.

Burial was in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
