Dennis Edward Lukas, 58. Lafayette, died Thursday, April 23. at 1:45 am, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 23, 1939, in Chicago.

He graduated from a Catholic High School in Chicago and the University of Illinois in 1962.

He lived the last 40 years in Lafayette.

He was a buyer at Marshall Fields in Chicago. He took disability retirement in 1989, from Purdue, where he worked in maintenance at the Krannert School of Management.

Survivors include a half-brother, Everette E. Overman, who is from the Chalmers area, with whom he made his home; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Saturday, April 25, at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston with the Rev. Gerald Stevens officiating.

Burial was in IOOF Cemetery, Brookston.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
