Leonard Lowe, 61, of Shipshewana, died Wednesday, August 25, 2004, at Life Care Center, LaGrange. He had been there for three weeks.
He was born at Monon on December 9, 1942, the son of Lloyd and Nerine Eide Lowe. He married Cynthia J. Broge at Shipshewana on December 10, 1967. She died May 2, 1991.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was a forklift driver and press operator for Lake Park Industries, Shipshewana.
He was a member of the ITPA (International Trotting and Pacing Association).
He had lived in the Shipshewana area for the past 29 years.
Survivors include his parents Lloyd and Nerine Lowe of West Lafayette, formerly of Monon; sons Craig A. Lowe of Shipshewana and Robert L. Lowe of Middlebury; a sister, Lotus (Eckhard) Schiller of Enterprise, Ala.; a brother, Melvin (Marilyn) Lowe of Monticello and a granddaughter Cynthia Lowe.
Services were Saturday, August 28th, at Scott United Methodist Church in Shipshewana with Rev. Nancy Richmond officiating.
Burial was in Seidner Cemetery, Shipshewana.
