David Orville Logan, 60, of Regency Place of Lafayette, a former Brookston resident, died Sunday, February 9, 2003 at Regency Place. He had been ill since 1984 and had lived at Regency Place since 1985.
He was born February 5, 1943 in Kokomo, Ind., the son of Orville and Mary Finch Logan.
He graduated from Brookston High School in 1961 and graduated from Indiana State University in 1970 with a degree in Elementary Education.
He worked at Pillsbury Green Giant in Lafayette from 1978-1984 and also was an EMT at Home Hospital and taught CPR classes.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 — 1965 as a Graphics Arts Specialist and received the Distinguished Service Medal in February 1986 at Grissom AFB.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Lafayette.
Surviving are his parents Orville and Leona Logan of Brookston and a sister, Karen Logan of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Finch Logan and two brothers, Robert Lloyd Logan in 1983 and Roger Lee Logan in 1994.
Funeral services were this morning at Brookston United Methodist Church with Rev. Wes Brookshire and Rev. Jan Dimick officiating.
Burial with military rites was in l.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brookston.
Hartzler Funeral Home was in charge of the service.
