Howard "Bud" Clyde Legan, Jr., 87, of Gulfport, Mississippi and a former area resident, died Sunday, March 20, 2005 in Gulfport.

He was a native of Johnson County, Indiana, and a Mississippi Coast resident since 1985. He was a retired millwright and was a Methodist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard C. and Jessie May Scott Legan; a son, Stephen Robert Legan; and his former wife Velda Greenawalt.

Other [sic] survivors include his wife Louise Legan of Gulfport; sons, Scott (Anne) Legan of Jennings, FL; John Legan of Williamson, Georgia, and David Legan; a daughter, Diana Hall, of Machesney Park, IL; fifteen grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Burial will take place at a later date. Riemann Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
