Gene Richard Leader, 73, of Indianapolis and formerly of Brookston, died Thursday, October 21, 2004, in Indianapolis.
He was raised in Round Grove Township on the farm of his parents Charles and Grace Leader.
He graduated from Jeff High School, Wabash College and attended school in Heidelberg, Germany.
He was a professor of English, and served in Army Intelligence. He was an executive vice president of F.C. Tucker & Co [sic] in Indianapolis and held similar jobs in Syracuse, N.Y. and Fort Worth, TX.
He spent his retirement years in Atlanta, GA.
Preceding him in death was [sic] his wife Dianne; a son, Sterling of Texas; his sister, Mary Rayman of Lafayette and his brothers, Roy and Harold Leader of Romney, and Robert Leader of Monticello.
Services were held in Indianapolis at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center-Washington Park East.
