Marwin O. LaGue

Marwin O. "Babe" LaGue, 83, of Brookston died Saturday at Home Hospital in Lafayette. He had been in failing health for a month.

He was born on March 16, 1922 in Dunell, Minnesota to George and Della Hudson LaGue.

In 1932 his family moved from Blue Earth, MN to Fowler where his father and mother farmed. He was a graduate of Pine Township High School in Benton County.

He married Amy Franson on March 15, 1947 in Fonder. She survives.

He was a lifelong farmer who farmed in Pine Township, Otterbein and Brookston. He retired in 1990.

He enjoyed fishing, playing the organ, bird watching, traveling, farming and photography.

Other survivors include a daughter, Judy (Greg) Hobson of Maryville, IL and sons Robert (Patti) LaGue and Bill (Judy) LaGue, both of Brookston; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Four brothers and two grandchildren, Aaron and Dylan LaGue, are deceased.

Funeral services were today at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home with interment in Brookston I.O.O.F Cemetery.
