Eva M. Cuppy Lachmund, 89, formerly, of Brookston, died at 3:40 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, in Birchwood Manor, Delphi. She had lived there since Nov 1, 1985.

She was born May 7, 1899 and a native of White County. She was married Nov 29, 1918 to Jesse C. Lachmund, in Brookston. They farmed until 1937 then moved to Brookston. He died Jan 23, 1958.

Mrs Lachmund was a pie maker at Miller's Cafe for 13 years then worked in the laundry at Indiana Veteran's Home in West Lafayette until retiring in 1969.

She was a member of Brookston Federated Church; Philathia Sun day School Class; and Sew Club. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs James (Dorothea) Kenworthy of Delphi. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 5 greatgreat grandchildren. Three sons, 2 brothers, 1 sister preceded in death.

Service was Monday at 2 p.m. in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston. with the Rev John Nalley officiating.
