Opal M. Kubly, 93, of Carroll County, died Monday, July 27, 1992, at the White County Memorial Hospital. She had been in the hospital one day, and ill for one month.

She was born near Brookston on April 22, 1899 to Oscar and Nancy Barney Harmon. She married
James S Kubly in Brookston on January 1, 1919. He died Sept. 16, 1949.

She graduated valedictorian of Brookston High School Class of 1917. She lived in White County for several years and in Carroll County since 1972.

She retired from the former Bryan Manufacturing Co., Monticello after working there 21 years.

She was a member of the former Brookston Christian Church. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge Auxiliary, Monticello.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs Walter P. (Marge E.) Dismore, Monticello; two sons, Norman E. of Toledo, OH and William B. "Bill", Kokomo; 19 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs Alta Bir, Monticello.

One daughter, three sons, one grandchild, three brothers and a sister are deceased.

The funeral was today at Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Monticello, the Rev. Donald Arterburn officiating.

Burial in IOOF Riverview Cemetery.
