Herbert A. Klepinger

Herbert A "Herb" Klepinger, 58, of Brookston died Saturday, May 3, 2003 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette.

He was born August 13, 1944 in Lafayette, the son of Virgil A. and Velma Richardson Kiepinger. He married Lynda Walter on June 26, 1965 and she survives.

He was formerly employed by Peerless Wire and had worked for over 20 years at Eli Lilly in Lafayette. He was a former Brookston Summer Baseball Coach.

He was a member of Libanus Lodge 592 F&AM, Monticello and Scottish Rite, Indianapolis.

Other survivors include two daughters, Joni (Jerry) Jones, Rockledge, FL and Jackie (Kyle) Olds, of Etters, PA. and a son, James (Alison) Klepinger of Fishers, IN.; and a stepsister Ann (Rick) George of Brookston, and his mother, Velma Klepinger Oilar of Jensen Beach, FL. He had seven grandchildren; Samuel, Emily, and Lucas Olds and Alexandra, Nicholas, Madalyn and Elania Klepinger.

His father preceded him in death.

Funeral services were today at 2:00 p.m. at Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston with Rev. Dr. Lelan McReynolds officiating.

Burial was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette.
