Edith V. Weese King, 97, of Idaville died Sunday, September 2, 2001 at White County Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 11, 1904, in Grant County, West Virginia, to John and Jane Phares Groves. She married Olin Weese in 1920. He died November 26, 1975.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Caley United Methodist Church and was president of the Ladies Aid for at least 25 years. She held many other church offices and was a diligent church worker.

Surviving are a daughter, Virginia Cosgray Williams of Monon; four grandchildren, Dick (Nancy) Cosgray, Jeny Weese, Doug Weese and Reva (Dick) Miller; four step- grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; 12 great- great grandchildren and several step great-great grandchildren.

One son, one stepson, three brothers and four sisters are deceased.

The funeral was this morning at the Caley United Methodist Church with Harrison Metzger Funeral Home, Royal Center, in charge.

Burial was in Davis Cemetety, Burnettsville.
