Alfred G. Jordan
Alfred G. Jordan, 91, of rural Francesville, died Wednesday, December 31. 2003 at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac.
He was born at Francesville on February 20, 1912 to George and Maude Ethel Casey Jordan.
He married Fern M. Baker on April 25, 1935 in Buffalo. She died December 31 [30?], 2003.
He was a farmer and lived in rural Francesville most of his life.
He attended Tippecanoe Christian Church and was a member of Paul's Chapel Church. He was a member of the Indiana Nut Grower's Association, and was a former Democrat precinct committeeman.
He was an avid grower of fruit and nut trees and enjoyed gardening, fishing and church activities.
Survivors include daughters Joyce (Joseph) Cunningham of Greenfield, Ohio, Judy K. (Jacob) Hoffman [Huffman?] of Winamac; sons Stanley (Myra) Jordan of Star City, James (Delilah) Jordan of Francesville, William C. (Ruth) Jordan of Peoria, Ill., Mark D. (Pamela) Jordan of Monticello and David N. (Kathi) Jordan of Winamac; 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren; sister Etna Cartmell of Monticello and sister-in-law Elnora Jordan.
A daughter, Janis Louise Jordan and brothers Howard Jordan and George M. Jordan are deceased.
Funeral services were Sunday, January 4, 2004, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac with Fr. James Gabhart, officiating. Burial was in McKinley Memorial Gardens in Winamac.
