David K. Jenkins

          David K. Jenkins, 35, Jacksonville, Florida, died Saturday, May 16, in Methodist Hospital, Jacksonville, FL.  He had been ill since September and seriously ill for one week.

          He was born Feb. 8, 1957, in White County to Kenneth and Ellen Farmer Jenkins.

          He was a 1976 graduate of Carroll High School and served in the U.S. Navy for four years.

          He lived in the Chalmers and Flora communities most of his life.  In 1980 he moved to Jacksonville, FL, and worked there for the Mike Davidson Ford Co. for the last six years.

          Survivors include his father of Dowagiac, Mich.; his mother of Delphi; two brothers, Joseph F., Delphi and William R "Bill", Lafayette; three sisters, Mrs Gordon (Marty I.) Cochran and Mrs Larry (Ruth M.) Smith, both of Monticello, and Mrs Darrell (Judy C.) Stevens, Lafayette; a half sister, Mrs Shawn Fogleman, Mulberry; maternal grandmother, Mrs Mamie B. Farmer, Chalmers; and paternal grandmother, Mrs Betty Jenkins, Flora.
          The funeral was Tuesday at Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, the Rev Scott Slatsman officiating.
          Military graveside rites were conducted at Paint Creek Cemetery, Camden.
