Sadie M. Jackson, 97, formerly of Wolcott, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Home Hospital, Lafayette, where she had been a patient for 13 days.

She was born July 18, 1897 to Charles and Rosetta Kinsall Vinson in Gallatin County, IL. She married Harry L. Jackson on May 21, 1916, and he died in 1974.

She attended Gallatin County area schools.

She lived in Hammond from 1929 until 1945 when she moved to Wolcott. She lived on a farm east of Wolcott until 1990 when she. moved to Davis Manor.

She was a member of the Wolcott Chapter No. 171 of the Order of Eastern Star and was a past grand representative to the Maryland OES. She also was a member of the Wolcott United Methodist Church.

Surviving are four sons, Ralph of Brookston, Ernest of Hendersonville, TN, Harry E. of Wolcott, and Larry of Hammond; 14 grand children; 24 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren,. Two sisters and one brother are deceased.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 31, at the Wolcott United Methodist Church, the Rev.
Michael Dillon officiated.

Burial was in. Meadow Lake Cemetery near Wolcott.
