Mildred Clark Huron

Mildred Clark Huron, 91, of Dilssboro, In., and a former area resident, died Monday, May 30, 2005 at Ross Manor Nursing home at Dillsboro.

She was born July 2, 1913 at Morocco, to Daniel Clyde Clark, Sr. and Artimissia Gilmore Clark.

She was raised in the Lee and Monon area and graduated from Monon High School with the class of 1931.

She graduated from Nurse's Training in 1938.

She married John Huron on July 2, 1941 in Rising Sun, Ind.

She was State Health Nurse for Switzerland and Ohio Counties in Rising Sun for many years.

Survivors include two sons, Louis (Cora) Huron of Osgood, Ind., and Rodger Huron of Rising Sun and one daughter, Nada Huron of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Also surviving are four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and a brother Daniel C. Clark, Jr., of Winamac.

She was preceded in death by her husband John, a brother Byron Clark and a sister Marjorie (Lawrence) Jordan.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 2, at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun with Rev. John Heckman officiating.
