Estelle P. Hurlburt, 92, of Monon and a resident at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare in Monticello, died Sunday, July 24, 2005 at the healthcare facility.

She was born October 20, 1912 the daughter of Isaac and Emma Kesler Banes. Her marriage was to John Wesley Hurlburt on March 28, 1937 in Monticello. He died October 29, 1985.

A homemaker, she had lived in Monon most of her life and had worked at Schumacher Electric in Rensselaer for 15 years.

She was a member of the Monon Community Church.

She is survived by her long time friend and care giver, Jane Garver of Monticello, one brother, William (June) Banes of Lafayette and one sister, Betty (John) Nightingale of Medaryville; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Banes of Monon and Pauline Banes of Western Grove, Ark.

Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

There will be no visitation.

Funeral services were today at Kellogg Funeral Home with Rev. Don Newman officiating. Burial was at Bedford Cemetery.
