Herbert "Cub" Hunt
Herbert "Cub" Wayne Hunt, 86, of Buffalo died Saturday, April 9, 2005, at White County Memorial Hospital.
He had been ill for one month.
He was born on April 14, 1918, at Buffalo to Calvin Franklin and Jennie Alice Baer Hunt.
He graduated from Buffalo High School in 1937.
He married Hazel Lucille Yeargin on June 5, 1940,in New Castle. She died December 23, 2003.
He was a retired barber and served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during World War II.
He was a member of the Buffalo Church of the Brethren.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge of Monon, a 50-year member of the American Legion. a member of the V.F.W. and served on the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include sons Herbert (Carolyn) WaIter Hunt of Denver, IN [sic], and Dwayne Alan Hunt of Buffalo; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday), at Kellogg Funeral Home with Pastor Marita Smith officiating.
BuriaI with full graveside military rites will be conducted at the Buffalo Cemetery.
