Hazel Lucille Hunt

Hazel Lucille Hunt, 86, of Buffalo died Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at White County Memorial Hospital. She had been ill for one year and had resided at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare for one year.

She was born at Winamac on August 28, 1917, to Walter Elmer and Anna May Green Yergin. She married Herbert Wayne Hunt at New Castle on June 5, 1940. He survives in Buffalo.

She was a 1935 graduate of Winamac High School and had resided at Buffalo most of her life.

She was a homemaker. She was a retired school teacher and had taught in Pulaski County school for 40 years.

She was a member of the Buffalo Church of the Brethren at Buffalo.

She was a member of the Eagles Lodge Ladies Auxiliary of Monon and Monticello American Legion Auxiliary.

Other survivors include sons, Herbert Walter (Carolyn) Hunt of Denver, Indiana [sic] and Dwayne Allan (Mary) Hunt of Mena, Arkansas; a sister, Pearl Popejoy of Logansport; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday, December 28, 2003 at Kellogg Funeral Home in Monon with Pastor Marita Smith officiating.

Burial was in Buffalo Cemetery.
